- The club leaders must nominate the youth by calling Joyce Vincent at 231-821-0263 by April 15th. Youth must be 13 years old and have shown beef for at least 3 years. (Leaders may nominate more than 1 outstanding youth from their club.)
- The youth must write a 200 word (min.) essay about themself, their beef project, and why they would like to receive this award. Essay should include: name, address, phone #, e-mail address, age, school activities, church activities, and any other extracurricular activities. Also include any jobs the youth have done on the farm, at the fair (include number of volunteer hours), or in the community. We would also like to know what the youth plans to do after high school. The essay needs to be turned in by April 15th. Please send the essay to the fair office at 815 S. Stewart Fremont, MI 49412 or e-mail to info@newaygocountyfair.org.
- The applicant will have an interview that will be set up in the weeks after the deadline. Joyce Vincent will call and give you the date, place, and time, so be sure to include your address and phone number with the essay.
