The goal of this partnership with Greenstone Farm Credit Services is to help a local youth to be able to raise, train, and show at the Newaygo County Agricultural Fair. Having a beef project is full of responsibility for the youth. Raising a beef animal presents many opportunities to learn responsibility, self-confidence, and commitment. If you are interested in starting a learning experience with a beef project, you may contact Sara Kempf at 231-769-9576 by APRIL 30th if you are interested in going out for the Beef Calf Award.
