The campground committee met, came up with a plan, and the board of directors approved it at the March meeting. Campground reservations will go as follows:
- Reservations will only be available to Newaygo County Agricultural Fair Association members. Membership is open to anyone. Membership forms are available here. Completed forms and $5 dues can be mailed or dropped off at the fair office anytime.
- Board of directors members will be able to reserve and pay in full for their campsite at the April board meeting. A director is limited to one campsite per household.
- Live animal superintendents will be offered one reservation per department on April 27 and must pay in full to complete that reservation. We will be in the fair office from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm on April 27th.
- All others wishing to camp at fair will be able to submit their single application with a $10 cash or check refundable deposit to the fair office between May 4-8.
- On May 11, at the pre-fair meeting, the camping committee will host a random drawing, using a computer based random drawing system. Applicant (or a representative) must be present and payment (cash, check, credit card) must be made night of drawing. When the name is drawn the winner must loudly state “electric” or “rustic”. We will continue rapidly until all sites are purchased.
- Camping prices were increased for the 2026 season. Rustic camping fees are $85 for fair week, electric camping fees are $175 for fair week. Other camping fees outside of fair week are $35 per night for electric and $20 for rustic.
