The Dairy committee met June 6th and decided that we need to inform families how to plan for fair week. The state protocol is that we will have NO Milk cows, dry cows, or springing heifers on the fairgrounds.
Our show will consist of spring Jr. calves up thru fall yearling heifers as long as they are not over 6 months pregnant.
We will have showmanship classes including adult classes
We will be having the top showman award.
We will have parent and me
We will have beginner showman
We will have herdsmanship
We will have clipping class
We will be paying premiums on the classes we do offer.
All cow classes, produce of dam, dam and daughter and 3 best female classes will be canceled. Also canceled will be over all top placing Holstein and Proteins awards.
Our year is going to look different this year, but we are planning clinics that don’t involve bringing animals to the fair, that will be educational and fun.
